Insurance Specialist Business Office

 

DUTIESThe Insurance Specialist, as supervised by the Funding Manager, will coordinate and submit billing for insurance related services. The Insurance  Specialist will be responsible for the complete process from intake to claim submission and reconciliation of payment. Ensure all individual and group/internal providers remain credentialed and contracted.  Prepares information needed to certify, re-certify, apply for or re-apply for Medicaid, Medicare, and in-network insurance services as needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  High School diploma or G.E.D. required.  Some post secondary education in Medical Billing Certificate program preferred.  Three to six years prior insurance billing experience preferred.  Must be detail orientated. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.  Also must possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access and Word.
