Duties: Under the supervision of the Director of Health Services, the Medication Administration Instructor will serve as the primary day (MA) Instructor for medication administration to unlicensed personnel. Instruction will include new hire and re-certification training classes; each class is normally conducted once per month. Other duties will include providing night medication administration training (new hires and/or re-certification) in the absence of the night (MA) Instructor.
Requirements: Requires registration/license as a Registered Nurse with the state of Tennessee Board of Nursing, two years clinical experience as an RN. Must have at least one year of RN clinical experience in the provision of services to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. One to two years as a teacher/instructor also required.
